About Me

My name is Paul Holland and I am a consultant and teacher in the profession of software testing. I am a proud and active member of the context-driven school of software testing which means that we believe that you must adapt your approach to any testing mission depending on the situation at hand (or your context). There is no “best way” to use when presented with a given testing problem. You must adjust and adapt to find an approach that will be effective for you.

As a software test leader, I streamline processes to reduce test creation and execution time while increasing test coverage and confidence in test results. I achieve this by reducing waste in documentation, minimizing automation duplication, providing actionable test reports, and replacing detailed test cases with more effective scenario based tests. My goal is to create and lead the implementation of a comprehensive test strategy within an amazing organization, building a motivated, high-performing team that transforms testing into a strategic advantage.

The primary course that I teach is Rapid Software Testing, developed by James Bach and Michael Bolton. For more information on the course please visit: RST Information page.
